Bridgeport, New York (WSYR-TV) - A 12-year-old Bridgeport boy has been charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals after dousing a cat with gasoline. CNYSPCA investigators and the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office took reports from witnesses that led to the charge.
Polly, the 14-year-old cat, underwent medical treatment, but due to the effect of the gasoline, veterinarians euthanized the cat Tuesday. The CNYSPCA is looking for donations to help cover the veterinary costs. Their website is www.cnyspca.org.
